🚤🔥 Dive into the exhilarating world of Thai Longtail River Boat Racing at Khlong Don Rao, a renowned racing canal in Samut Sakhon Province, Thailand. The atmosphere was electric, with thousands of fans lining both sides of the canal. After navigating thick traffic and a kind landowner making space for me to park, I made my way to the starting area. Despite the intense heat and humidity, my excitement was unstoppable.
Race day was festive, a spectacle of different classes of boats and engines, including 5K, 7K, turbo diesels, open class, 550cc hydrofoils that fly, and more. I captured every thrilling moment from pit row to the starting line, mingling with fans and race crews, and even felt like a celebrity with several Thais eager to chat and snap pictures with me. It was an unforgettable experience, filled with fun and unique perspectives that many have never seen before.
