Less than 24 hours after the independent electoral and boundaries commission(IEBC) settled on symphony for the award of a multi-billion shillings tender to supply the biometric voter registration kits, subject to a due diligence report, a barrage of questions has emerged on the company's ownership. The Kenyan company, according to sources, is owned by the Da Gama Rose family. However doubts have been raised about its ability to spearhead the sensitive voter registration exercise, which is at the heart of a free, fair and democratic general election.
