The British did what they do best today - queued - as shops threw open their doors again after months of lockdown.
Huge queues were reported across the country as shops welcomed back customers. In Birmingham, Primark was meant to open at 8am for the first time in almost three months, but allowed customers in early due to the size of the queues. There were similar scenes in London, with shoppers saying they had been let in an hour early.
