Sarah Gross' song "Brooklyn (Only Rains)" tells the tale of a 20-something surrounded by change, not quite sure where they're going, but trusting the process. She wrote it while she had much time to contemplate her career on her long commutes home during her summer internship. It truly, always rained whenever she went to her Brooklyn internship, so she naturally spun the event of getting caught in the rain into a metaphor for adult life. Accompanying herself with folk inspired guitar playing, Sarah delivers a stripped down version of the song, just as it was when it was written originally.
