The impacts of climate change are bigger and deeper than first projected but humanity "has the means to tackle" the issue, a landmark report has found.
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is urging speedy changes, warning "there is a rapidly closing time window ... to secure a liveable and sustainable future for all".
Mark Howden, vice chair of the IPCC working group on impacts and adaptation, said the report "triggers many alarm bells" that humanity cannot afford to ignore.
