For years, South Africa's vibrant wine industry has tried to evade perceptions of being a new world product, by pointing to a heritage spanning some 300 years. Famous for its Cabinet Sauvignon's and Pinot Noir, the Western Cape is home to almost the country's entire wine industry and enjoys massive support from locals and tourists alike. It is also home to the birthplace of the country's first wine estate, as CCTV's Travers Andrews explains.
