1962 Chevrolet Bel Air Bubble Top
805 Miles!
$75,387
A Production Drag car?
Sounds like the most recent release of the Dodge Demon 170 (For 1962)!
It's argued that the introduction of the 409 indeed launched the muscle car era.
The 409 fans had much to cheer about in 1962. In an all Chevy 409 Stock Eliminator final Race, Dyno Don piloted his '62 409 Bel Air to win and earn himself a racing hero status!
The Beach Boys' song "409" celebrated what Chevy fans already knew: ". . . she always turns in the fastest times."
In an interview done by Motortrend; Lamar Walden AKA "Mr. 409" recalled, in 1962 "there was a lot of excitement about Chevrolet coming forward with these 409 motors. There were no tow rigs back then. We were racing our daily transportation, constantly working to make them faster. I had to drive my 409 car to work with 4.56 gears and my Atlas Bucron tires. We had a sense of accomplishment when we made improvements to the cars. Performance parts were not as readily available as today.
The excitement for muscle cars and drag racing is still alive and well, even as manufacturers push for all electric and hybrids. You can own something as monumental as a 409 "bubble top" Bel-Air! You will have a car that is not only FUN to drive but a car that marks a time in history when racing became a way of life for so many!
Come see this car, we know you'll love it!
