What are some tank mates for molly fish aquariums? Can someone confirm if this is a zebra danio fry? It doesnt look like guppy fry. Its a little longer and differently shaped. I have zebra danios a few platys and guppies left over, cory catfish and yoyo loaches. I hope its a zebra danio because ive started researching how to breed them. Molly Fish with other fish.

Sorry for the rant. Y'all, I love my tank BUT how does everyone I this group manage weekly 50-80% water changes?? My old set up when I lived in new England I had a marine land canister filter and I did water changes and filter cleanings 2 a year!!! I am in texas now (same tank) and switched to an eheim and I can NOT keep the tank clean longer than a month!!! Anyone have any insight? (The tank had more direct sun light in new England and the only reason for the different filter was the Marine Land would not fit through the door for easy cleaning). Both marine land and eheim are for a 90 gallon tank, I currently have a 65 gallon. Its crystal clear right now cause it took me 3 hours of cleaning and 1 dead peacock Cichlid.
I only keep 4ft mbuna tank think this might be abit to much flow hahaha.i am running the 1400 UV and 1000. They say can never have to much filtration tho. Hmmmm.
If you do a search I made a post about this a while ago and one of the moderator shared it to both monster pages after about 200-plus replies most people were leaning towards the fx6. I've used several kinds ,all the biggest in their lines, Fluval, Rena Filstar, Sunsun, Pen Plex,..........never anything as big as a single fx6. I usually used multiple units. I really liked the functionality of Rena Filstar and to be honest they all seem to last if you keep up with maintenance and cleaning the impeller. But truth be told at some point you just need to convert to a full on sump.
Umm...and I have over 50 units in operation. Till date..this is what I fit into tanks of the relevant size. Other eheim models too..except for what they called the eeco range. Those 3 small models aren't as good as the rest. Then the wet dry range has some maintenance issues if you don't know how to take care of them. But the basic canisters across the board are just fantastic. In between I have tried one or two Hydor and Sicce. I am not complaining...BUT the flagship is Eheim.
So I'm going to be filling a 150 gallon tank here soon.. what's the best way to fill it and do water changes? Can I use a hose and just add prime before/after? Need help....I plan on using water out of my current tank to start the cycle can use current filter.. looking for info on the water changes more so.. thanks.
They are opportunistic predators. They will snack on your betta once it's asleep, and they may cannibalise each other at some point as well. Cool looking animals tho! They just need pretty specific setups to work properly.
He looks like hes in shock its hard to tell, i guess it could be a swim bladder issues since theres bounancy control issues, but id think shock is first and foremost.
Was he acclimated, was the tank cycled?
Everytime ive seen this behaviour in my fish all i could do was turn the filter down, and try to de escalate their stress. I've never been able to save one past this point. Im so sorry for your buddy. My betta just recently went into shock and passed away last week, I had just cleaned his tank and put new water in but I don't think I put enough old water in the clean tank so it sent him in shock. I felt so bad and I miss him, he was so cool. I had him almost 3 years, which I know really isn't that long but he was kept in a one gallon which I know now is not a proper tank for a betta. I still feel really bad but I guess live and learn. I hope your little guy gets better.
