Ahead of Karnataka Election 2023, former BJP leader and ex-Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Laxman Savadi deserted the saffron party and joined Congress, state Congress president DK Shivakumar announced on Friday. Laxman Savadi resigned as a Legislative Council member and from the primary membership of the BJP on April 12 after not getting the poll ticket to contest the Karnataka Assembly Election 2023.
On the other hand, the BJP is making allegations and saying that we did everything for Laxman Savadi, but he is still quitting the party. They said, He lost Atani; after that, he was made an MNC in the BJP and then Deputy Chief Minister, but Laxman Savadi accused the BJP and said, If the BJP made me Deputy CM, then why did they take it back?".
