The July Telecom subscriber data is showing some signs of positivity for the first time since March 2020. They have seen an increase in gross subscribers.
As the gross subscribers are up by 3.5 million versus negative 3.2 million in June 2020. Positive signs, but Vodafone Idea has still continued to decline. They have lost around 3.8 million active subscribers in July 2020 versus 3.7 million subscribers in June.
Overall, Jio has managed to add 3.6 million subscribers. Airtel has added 3 million subscribers but Vodafone Idea has lost around 3.7 million subscribers. Currently, the market share that Jio holds is around 32.7%, Airtel holds around 29.1%, while Vodafone Idea 28.2% market share.
