Curvature correction surgery is performed on an outpatient basis by shortening the convex (longer) side. During the surgery, an incision is made through a previous circumcision scar, on the underside of the penis, or with a circumcision. Loss of length is usually less than an inch, and the final length can be estimated by bending an erect penis straight.
