When I get a new dye, I like to dye 10g of yarn at a 1% depth of shade (meaning 1g of dye per 100g of yarn). I do this to get a feel for the colour and how the dye reacts. This means I have lots of 10g skeins to experiment with. I tried over dyeing this in Dye Time #171 ([ Ссылка ]) with fluorescent fuchsia and it didn't work. So I tried again with purple and just look at the results!
Fibre reactive dyes can be used on plant based fibre and animal based fibres. Acid dyes can only be used on animal based fibres.
