For over 40 years, until his death in 1926, impressionist leader Claude Monet lived in Giverny, an hour outside Paris, where much of his work was born. From the Japanese water garden, with its weeping willows, water lilies and famous green bridge, to the carefully decorated two-storey house, Monet's final residence is in its own right a true work of art.
