This video shows a keynote lecture that was presented at the American Academy of Ophthalmology Annual Meeting 2013 by Professor Dan Z. Reinstein, MD MA(Cantab) FRCSC DABO FRCOphth FEBO. The lecture describes how the corneal epithelium remodels according to the curvature of the underlying stromal surface and discusses the implications of this for refractive surgery, keratoconus screening and in the treatment of irregular astigmatism.
