When it comes to Sasuke Uchiha, the biggest question I’ve seen people ask is why doesn’t Sasuke get a new arm in Boruto? Afterall, the guy did have a hashirama cell arm made for him in naruto chapter 699 and Boruto part 1 ends 16 years after that moment, so why doesn’t he get a new arm? Well, we learn the answer officially in a couple of naruto epilogue stories in scenes never animated into the shippuden anime, which those stories are akatsuki hiden evil flowers in full bloom and sasuke story of sunrise which only partially got adapted into the anime. Basically, Sasuke refuses to take his hashirama cell arm even after his redemption journey is over, because it is a reminder of what happened the last time he got consumed by darkness. Every time he sees that missing arm, he thinks about how much pain he put naruto and Sakura through and it’s his reminder that bonds aren’t something he should cut away, but instead they are something to cherish. It’s a reminder that his actions don’t just affect himself but others who care for him and so Sasuke imposes self punishment to atone for his sins.
