The Law Society of Kenya has offered to mediate between the government and opposition towards achieving a lasting solution to the challenges currently facing the country. LSK President Erick Theuri has termed the uncertainty and unrest caused by the protests a detriment to national development. The society also condemned the use of excessive force on protestors, calling on the independent police oversight authority to investigate the use of excessive force on protestors.
