In today’s video, we talk about the Apple Original, Severance. This is my first video in a series called “Tuft & Talk” where I talk about something while making a rug!

Severance is a dystopian psychological drama on Apple TV+ directed and produced by Ben Stiller. Severance stars Adam Scott as the employee of a mysterious corporation called Lumon Industries. It’s not clear what Lumon does but it’s definitely not anything good. To the outside world, Lumon is known for inventing the procedure called Severance which includes implanting a chip in someone’s brain that basically splits someone into two. One that goes to work while the other lives your normal life without any knowledge of what goes on at work.
The series also stars John Turturro, Christopher Walken, Zack Cherry, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, and Patricia Arquette.

Listen, girl. I made a few mistakes on this one but I’m still proud of it. I enjoyed the process and I’m still learning! This piece is my 4th rug and took ~10 hours. 28inx28in.
Some things I learned:
Don’t make words too small
There is such a thing as sculpting too much
When in doubt, simplify things

Yarn (100% Acrylic) - white, black, light grey, blue, tea leaf, pool, soft navy (Red Heart Super Saver)

30x30 wooden frame with carpet grippers
Tufting gun
Yarn winder
Electric scissors
Roberts 3085 (backing glue)
Hot glue gun (for the edges)
Grooming clippers
Fiskars 8in Fabric Scissors
Mini scissors
Tweezers
