For starters, what is BeenVerified? Well, BeenVerified is a US based people search website where you can run background checks on anyone you want nationwide. It’ll basically give you all sorts of information on people, like Contact details, Criminal records, property ownership records, Education and employment histories, and social media profiles. Now this website collects information from public records, including information provided by the US government, state agencies, and other private sources like data brokers. And then they’ll sort out and analyze this data and upload it to their platform, where they charge a subscription fee to show this sort of information. So in other words, they’re basically reselling your own data. And so, you’re gonna need to go through the opt out process if you want BeenVerified to remove your data. Not only that, but you might also want to opt out of any property you might have access to since this website can also show properties as separate entities, including information such as the property address, how many rooms it has, and, on some occasions, who owns it. That’s going to be www.beenverified.com/app/optout/search. Now enter your first and last name, select your state from the drop-down menu, and hit the Search button. Then Select the correct match from the search results and click Proceed to Opt-Out. Now, to submit the opt out request, you’re gonna need to provide your email address so that they’ll send you a verification email. Once you receive the confirmation email, open it and click on the verification link to finalize the process. As for removing your name from a property on BeenVerified, the process is going to be pretty similar. First, go to www.beenverified.com/app/optout/address-search and enter your address in the search bar. Now look for the right result, and then press continue. Next, you must check the box next to the names you want to remove from the record and click Opt-out Owner. Once that is done, you must fill in your email address on the next page and click on the Send Verification Email. And to finalize the process, click on the verification link that you’ll receive from them Via email.
