There is a Comuna here in Cali #Colombia named Siloé or Comuna 20 and it's considered the poorest, most dangerous and savage neighborhoods in the city, due to robbery, gunfights, delinquency and even murder.

⭐I apologize for the quality of the video on the first few seconds, I have been having technical dificulties but it is worth the watch & thank you for your patience.⭐🙏🙏

Now understand, this is not a touristic area and is highly advised that no tourists venture into Comuna 20.

So, after the taxi driver told me he wouldn't drive into the neighborhood, but I can take the cable cart up over the hillside barrio into Siloé, that's exactly what I done.

Once I arrived in the station in Siloé I went in search of a local guide who could go deeper into the Comuna with me, once I found my guide, we set off on foot into Cali's most dangerous neighborhoods.

There is a local museum there with the sad and dark history of Siloé back when it was a stronghold for the gorilla forces and paramilitaries some years ago. Now they are gone and what's left is the memories and scares of the past.

I have to be completely honest and say the level of fear or nervousness, when entering with a stranger who couldn't speak English into a barrio that is considered out of bounds for tourists, it was definitely bubbling up into an uncomfortable level, but the hospitality of everyone there was actually really good and after some time my nerves began to settle.

To anyone who reads this, do not attempt what I do, follow the travelling recommendations and guidelines...
