Reconstructing a Bronze Age single burial cist at UCD Centre for Experimental Archaeology & Material Culture (CEAMC). These stones were archaeologically excavated from an original Bronze Age cist at Tevrin, Co, Westmeath, by Colm Flynn and colleagues, for Transport Infrastructure Ireland and Westmeath County Council. A student-led reconstruction at CEAMC, it was quickly shown that moving these large limestone blocks was a simple task, easily within the capacity of a small Bronze Age community as part of their funerary activities.
