Brouwerij Kompaan is most likely the best craft brewery in The Hague. Two friends, Jasper and Jeroen, liked to do some home brewing on a kitchen stove, before they started contract brewing in 2012 under the name Brouwerij Kompaan. The Dutch word ‘Kompaan’ comes from ‘companion’. You guessed it, friendship is a core value at this Dutch brewery. Jasper was the first one to quit his regular job to follow his dream, not long after followed by Jeroen in 2014. After the opening of their microbrewery, the business grew so fast that by 2015 they already had to move to another place. The current location of the brewery in an industrial harbor area is also home to one of the better craft beer bars in The Hague.
