FULL INGREDIENTS LIST:
Sponge Dough
1 Cup water
1 tbsp yeast
4 cups all purpose flour
Rest for one hour
Dough
2/3 cup flour
1/4 sugar sugar
2 tsp salt
1/3 cup water
2tbsp canola oil
DIVIDE INTO 16 EQUAL PORTIONS BEFORE STEAMING
Filling
2 pounds ground pork
1 cup carrots
1 diced onion
3 stalks green onion
1/4 cup parsley (optional)
2 tbsp minced garlic
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp knorr seasoning
2 tbsp cornstarch
sliced boiled eggs (amount depending on amount of buns being made)
Sauce
2 tbsp vinegar
2 1/2 cups water
12 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp cornstarch
5 tbsp soy sauce
2 star anise
Steam for 20 minutes
