Shadow Attorney-General Michaelia Cash says using the right of entry rules under the Fair Work Act to promote the ‘Yes’ for the Voice to referendum is a "completely inappropriate use" of the right of entry powers.
She points out while unions are granted special privileges under the Act, this move is an overreach.
Cash expresses her concern unions appear willing to "cross boundaries" by entering workplaces for non-work-related reasons.
"It's a sign of things to come," Ms Cash told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
"They're making it harder for the Fair Work Commission to actually revoke a right of entry power when it has been misused."
