The northern lapwing is a wader that breeds on cultivated land or other habitats with a short vegetation. Unfortunately, their eggs and babies are threatened by the farming machines when breeding in agricultural fields. Therefore ornithologists collect data about the lapwing nesting sites and try to protect them by talking to the farmers and marking the nests on the ground.
