Rwandz is a city in the Kurdistan Region, located in Erbil Governorate, 123 km far from Erbil City, this district is located 10 km to the east of Bekhal Waterfall.

Rwandz is surrounded by the Zagros mountain range; Korek Mountain is to the south, Hindren Mountain is to the north, Zozik Mountain is to the west, and Bradasot Mountain is to the east.

The district has a population of about 52,808 people as Kurdistan Region Government (KRG) data In 2018.
