Is it worth visiting small towns in Europe? Today, we head to Sighisoara, on day 3 of the Transylvania Train Tour.

Central Sighișoara has preserved the small medieval fortified city, which the Saxons called "Schäßburg", and it has been listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

Cities in Transylvania and Romania are very well connected. This is just one way that Romania is one of Europe’s most underrated countries, it is easy for travelers to get around.

In Sighișoara, we visited the following towers: Clock Tower, Iron Smiths’ Tower, Rope Makers’ Tower, Boot Makers’ Tower, Tailors’ Tower, Butchers’ Tower, Tin Smiths’ Tower, and the Coat Makers’ Tower! All the towers were spectacular and they were a budget-friendly activity in Europe because they were completely free!

The viewpoint from the Clock Tower was honestly one of the best views we’ve seen. The Clock Tower cost less than $4 per person which is a great value for money in Europe in 2022!
