Reminiscing about the 25-year history of The Cleveland Opera, the founders and directors of the company, Dorota and Jacek Sobieski, recently recorded for you two Puccini arias that are dear to them. Dorota performed the role of Cio-Cio-san with The Cleveland Opera and its Orchestra under Maestro Grzegorz Nowak in 2015 at Playhouse Square in Cleveland. Set designers and artists, Charles Gliha and Hubert Wisniewski, with projection of images by Sylwester Piedziejewski, created unique aura of beauty enhancing the music. Dorota sang 50 leading roles in fully staged operas by Bellini, Donizetti, El-Dabh, Moniuszko, Mozart, Elsner, Humperdinck, Korngold, Lehar, Maklakiewicz/Schiller, Mascagni. Mozart, Pergolesi, Puccini, Purcell, Rameau, Rossini, Smetana, Strauss, Szymanowski and Verdi, frequently performing on stage with The Cleveland Opera. She loves art song recitals with piano, featuring composers such as Chopin, Moniuszko, Schumann, Szymanowski and many others. Looking forward to sharing more music!
