Part 1 of the STAMPSCAPES UNIVERSITY playlist. This is a video that goes into what's at the foundation of Stampscapes stamps which is seamless design transitioning. A well designed modular stamp should be esthetically and technically sound and, especially, easy to blend with their sibling imagery. Stampscapes stamps avoid lines whenever possible so that the images can be overlapped and merged with other images without the need for exact masking. In this video, we use a 4 step scene building method: 1) Main Image/Focal Points 2) Sky Imagery 3) Filler Stamps 4) Foreground. Not every scene has to have these 4 elements but this is just your basic starting point for beginners. For example, a great scene might just be sky figures and a quote stamp or a sky figures and foreground. Also, we just use black ink but we'll get into color in future lessons.
