People who want to learn Chinese often believe Chinese characters (hanzi) to be the hardest aspect of Chinese. However, I believe that by using the right resources, characters need not be hard to learn.

The book mentioned in this video is 'Reading and writing Chinese' by William Mcnaughton (published by Tuttle). It's an ideal resource for learning Chinese characters as it contains literally thousands of characters, letting you go from 0 to being able to read Chinese.

Each character is represented with a lot of detail as well, including stroke order diagrams, pinyin, translation in English, example words, HSK difficulty, HSK list and more. That's why, if you're currently studying for the HSK exam, then this book is going be a huge help!
