In August 1984, LMNS launched in Edinburgh with a reception hosted by Bank of Scotland in St Andrew Square. This October, we celebrated our 40th Anniversary with a little gathering at Edinburgh’s Merchant’s Hall.
Did you know that in our first year, LMNS put on 60 concerts, with a handful of classical ensembles; today, that figure has increased more than tenfold, with at least 750 performances being delivered by a current pool of around 120 musicians.
Listen as two of them, Roo and Neil, talk a little bit about their experiences with LMNS. Followed by a little surprise for our Director Carol Main who also made a speech on the evening.
