Does Jesus bring unity and peace? Or does he bring division and Chaos? Reflection on the gospel of Luke 12:49-53.
So what are we to make of this gospel? It seems that this is contrary to everything Jesus has said and taught. He taught us to love one another. He taught us to forgive. He taught us to bring peace and joy. He taught us to show mercy. And he taught us all of these things throughout the 4 gospels. But it seems like Jesus is teaching something completely different here. Is Jesus trying to contradict himself?
