La Resurrezione ~ G.F. Handel
Premiered during the Easter season of 1708 in Rome, the brilliant oratorio "La Resurrezione" traces the mystical events that occurred between Good Friday and Easter Sunday. The music, by a blazing young talent from Saxony called Georg Friederich Händel, dazzles with its colorful orchestration and vivid passion. Filmed under the direction of Nathan Troup in and around the dark corners, commanding facades, and beautiful stained glass windows of Boston’s Emmanuel Church, the production unveils via live stream on YouTube on May 15 at 8:00 PM.
