Hemingway actually came aross this valley at the end of WW2 - and, indeed, Val Trebbia has some beautiful locations including the town of Bobbio and the "The Artists' Village" of Brugnello.
Not to be forgotten, it is just one valley - although also quite well-know for leading from Ligurian coast to Piacentino - but Emilia has so many more valleys and hills and castles and ... this video showing the Castello di Vigoleno as one example.
