This video shows the production of flat-sided U-bolts for a special application. A specialty of Brooks Forgings Ltd in the UK.

Our production lines of mechanical and hydraulic machines are fully computer programmable and can perform multiple bends from a single setting.

Our engineering division uses presses capable of hot bending up to 150mm diameter bar and 750x90mm flat section in 6-meter lengths. One of our specialties is the ability to form shackles that have initially been hot-formed at each end in a straight unbent condition.

The bending process can be applied to many of the forged components we produce here at Brooks Forgings to create a one-stop solution to many clients' requirements.
