In this guest lecture from a Fayetteville State University Philosophy of Religion class, Dr. Sadler discusses the subject of his new book, the debates which took place in 1930s France over the possibility and the nature of Christian philosophy. He briefly narrates the beginning of the debates, and discusses the positions of several of the interlocutors: Rationalists like Brehier and Brunschvicg, Thomists like Gilson and Maritain, and the position of Maurice Blondel.
