The WLtoys A959, also known as the Vortex, Storm CC, Magma and Brave Pro from WLtoys and 2fast2fun, is an 1/18th scale shaft-driven 4WD buggy. The same platform is also available in Truck editions. The buggy edition is also available in different versions and among these the best known are the A959 and A959B.

It is essentially the same buggy, but the A959-B has a larger motor and comes with a larger capacity battery and some upgrades (see the video for details). The A959-B is specified to 70 km/h (43 mph) and the A959 to 45 km/h (28 mph).

One important note: This particular A959 comes with a metal main drive shaft, just like the A959-B! I suspect though, that the gears and diffs on the A959 are still plastic, while the A959-B's are metal. But in a later episode, we will open the diff houses up and see for ourselves.
