Four friends—Erik, Eden, Matt, and Allie—embark on a road trip after a busy weekend at the Terlingua cookoff. A spontaneous decision to veer off the main route leads them to the mysterious town of Marfa in West Texas, famous for its unexplained ghost lights.
At a gas station nearby, they meet two strange employees. One of them offers them a chance to pull a ticket from his countertop fortune-telling machine. The prophecy is puzzling, but the group decides to ignore it. Once in Marfa, they immediately sense something is off: the town exudes an eerie atmosphere, and the locals seem to be hiding something.
Eden, intrigued by the strange happenings, becomes convinced that the town is steeped in witchcraft. She persuades Erik, but will they have the courage to share their suspicions with Matt and Allie? As the friends uncover chilling truths about Marfa and its inhabitants, they must decide if they can escape before they become the town's next victims.
