Gymnast Tatiana Gutsu, known affectionately in her native Ukraine as 'The Painted Bird of Odessa,' claimed the all-around gold medal and a team gold at the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games. Her extraordinary Olympic success was only matched by the way in which she achieved it, with routines as difficult as any ever attempted by a gymnast.
