Hazmat Emergency
Rob finds a chemical leak from the sulfuric acid tank. He calls his boss (Vicky) to inform her of the leak.
The leak is identified as a Hazmat emergency because it's spilling over the secondary containment. Rob makes the call that their SRT (Spill Response Team) would be able to participate in the response but initiates to call 911. Vicky, Rob's boss, is tasked to make further notifications while Rob stays to keep people away from the leak.
Understanding how to describe a chemical leak becomes very important when making notifications. This effective communication will help tremendously in the Hazmat response.
