[0:00] Presoaking the fiber
Presoak in the dyebath
8 oz of fiber, 16 cups of water + 6 T white vinegar. Added about half of 8 cups of water + 3 T vinegar
[2:37] The dyeing plan for today
[3:10] What is the fiber?

DHarma acid dyes in Fluorescent Fuchsia and Fluorescent Lemon Caribbean Blue
[5:25] Adding the dry dye to the fiber cold
[10:17] Heat setting the first layer
Heat for 30 minutes, let it cool in the pan
[13:10] Our yarn mop
Steam for 30 min in a steamer basket
[14:05] Rinsing the unspun fiber
[15:21] Braiding the dry roving
[19:32] Mixing the black dye
1 gram of Dharma true black acid dye, dissolved in hot tap water
[20:03] Dyeing the second layer
12 qt dyebath half filled with water, 1 gram dissolved black dye,
The water is warm but not hot yet
1 cup white vinegar
heat for 30 minutes. Leave in the pot to cool
