The GATSBY DANCE COMPETITION is Asia's biggest dance event brings young and hip talents together from all over Asia to strut their dance moves. Street dancers from all over Asia, namely Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Japan compete against each other for an ultimate prize of an all-expenses paid trip to dance-off against winners from 7 other countries in the Asia Grand Final which will be held in Tokyo on 2 March 2013. On top of that, the lucky winner will enjoy a whole brand new image makeover and firsthand experience of how it feels like to perform on a world stage, broadcasted live on Ustream all over the world.

This year, GATSBY 5th Dance Competition returns for the fifth season with new buzz and happenings. This time around, offering even greater ease and accessibility for aspiring student dancers in Malaysia to strut their dance moves in Tokyo with on-ground recruitment at 6 selected locations and online recruitments. Our Malaysian finalists have always been strong contenders, with Rebounce Crew winning the Styling Prize in Asia Grand Final early this year. Hence it's not surprising that hopes remain high for the next rising star to carry on the legacy of Jackson Chua, 2010-2011 Asia Grand Final Champion and Alex of Poppin' Rex, 2009-2010 Asia Grand Final Champion.
