After my initial disappointment with the M4 Max due to loud fan noise, I discovered the issue wasn’t normal—my MacBook was faulty. In this follow-up video, I share the process of working with Apple to replace the machine and how the new M4 Max has exceeded my expectations.
I test the replacement MacBook under the same demanding workflows, including photo editing with Lightroom (large Sony A1 and A7R5 files) and video editing. This time, the M4 Max is silent and incredibly fast, delivering the upgrade I was waiting for.
I also explore the nano-texture screen, which I initially dismissed in my first video, and why it’s now a must-have for dealing with glare in bright environments.
If you’re on the fence about upgrading or concerned about fan noise, this video will show you how the M4 Max performs when working as intended.
Specs of my M4 Max:
• 64GB RAM
• 2TB SSD
• Nano-texture screen
