Today we go over exactly how to sharpen an axe so you have the best possible chance of landing that bullseye and making sure your axe never falls out again!
In this video we'll go over how to sharpen an axe from start to finish including the tools you'll need and the step by step process to get the best results.
You're going to need an angle grinder, safety equipment including gloves and glasses or goggles and a sandpaper block. Bonus points if you've got a belt sander and can cut down your refining time!
Start by using the angle grinder to remove a significant portion of metal from the profile of the axe. After you've spent approximately 5 minutes on each side of the axe move on to sanding the edge of the axe to make sure it's razor thin.
