"Focused on the asian southeast, in Vietnam, in Cambodia, in Thailand. So we brought a lot of embroideries and floral patterns. We focused on the 'jacaris,' they are references to the villas in the Asian southeast. We brought a sophisticated geometrical collection with a lot of patterns."

STORYLINE
ROOKIE MARIA FILO WOWS THE CROWD IN RIO
A rookie wowed the crowd on the second day of Fashion Rio, the city's most important fashion week where Brazilian names show their summer collections for 2014.
Maria Filo had never appeared at any Fashion week until this year.
With an oriental collection inspired by the flowers and patterns of Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand, new airs refreshed the South-American fashion world.
To represent the up and coming brand? No one less than the gorgeous blue-eyed Isabelli Fontana.
Fontana has been the face of brands such as Louis Vuitton and Givenchy and is a veteran Victoria's Secret Angel, an investment that paid off well for the growing Maria Filo.
Opening the show with a tulle white dress, Fontana also closed the show in a golden striped tweed ensemble.
"We brought a lot of embroideries and floral patterns," said Maria Filo's creative director Renata Ribeiro.
Some flowers appeared on the clothes but also came out of them like origami, giving texture and depth to the pieces.
The sleek long hair and fresh make-up gave way to the beauty of the garments.
White dominated the ethereal collection but warm yellow and gold also highlighted the best outfits.
For the feet, metallic smart shoes atop large white soles seemed more comfortable and stylish than other vertiginous platforms seen at the show.
For a first, Maria Filo left many with their mouths wide open.
Fashion Rio begun Monday April 15 and continues until Friday April 19.
