Calling on so-called regular folks to participate in environmental or fish and wildlife science is a great idea. How often have we heard the comments that a seasoned hunter or angler witnesses changes in the environment or wildlife populations or habitat over time?
Recently a group of seasoned anglers from the Trout Unlimited of Canada Chapter of the Northern Lights Fly Fishers supported a study launched by Dr. Michael Sullivan to determine “does walleye vulnerability change with size? This data shows that no meaningful changes with size were evident, either by angling or index[1]netting.”
In this video, I sit down with Ken Monk, who talks to me about his time participating in this science project and being able to work with biologists.
