Note:
No IBM 5155 luggables were sacrificed for this keyboard! I have the host for it; it's working, in good shape, and it does see usage. The original cable and keycaps are also preserved. I just like occasionally bringing the keyboard experience onto my modern desktop too!

About this keeb:
Specs: [ Ссылка ]
Finally time for another Model F, and it's one that's likely on the upper percentile in terms of commonality (at least these days) but seldom discussed. The IBM 5155 Portable Personal Computer was a luggable PC designed to compete with the Compaq Portable. It was based on the IBM 5160 PC/XT and featured as standard 256KB RAM, a CGA card, a monochrome amber CRT monitor, and one or two half-height 5 1⁄4-inch floppy disks. The IBM 5155 had only two real advantages over the more sophisticated Compaq Portable - a lower price tag and an adaptation of a timeless keyboard design!
By layout, features and scancodes, the 5155's integrated keyboard is just a variant of the 5150/5160 Model F/XT keyboard with an entirely plastic case and different material (possibly aluminium, instead of steel) backplate. The keyboard folded down from the front of the 5155, and could be detached as a standalone unit and had it's own riser-style feet to prop up the keyboard in such a use case. It connected via a coiled cable that ended in a modular 6P4C connector, and the entire cable could be tucked in a little compartment at the top-left of the keyboard. The keyboard speaks Set 1/XT, so in theory, you'd just need to pin swap to get this working on any other XT-class PC.
