Edo State government has threatened to probe, arrest and dismiss local government chairmen and personnel involved in shady deals, resulting in declining internally generated revenue (IGR).
18 local government of the state was said to have generated only N3m in a month.
The deputy governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu, made the declaration at the Government House, Benin City, during a closed-door meeting with HOLGAs and local government liaison officers.
