Police and students have clashed at Athens University after authorities entered the building to break up a campus protest.
Protesters heckled police as they entered the university to arrest workers and students who had interrupted a meeting of the newly installed administration team.
University employee Zacharias Trigazis, who witnessed the events, said: "We don't know how or why the police came, but without reason, the police came in and began detaining people at random, people walking by the university, tourists sitting on the steps".
