This screencast video will discuss how to take advantage of the creative possibilities of triggering two or more virtual instruments simultaneously via single Midi track in Pro Tools. This is accomplished using the mult feature of Pro Tools's internal routing/bussing capabilities to duplicate the outputs of a MIDI track in order to drive the inputs of two or more soft synths. This in effect combines the sounds of the individual software instruments into an entirely new one
This is a feature that any user can take advantage of no matter which version of Pro Tools they use. The two main reasons that someone using soft synths will want to familiarize themselves with this function are:
1. If you are limited by the number of instruments you have at your disposal.
2. You are looking for or are just looking for new sounds.
Either way, using this feature will expand and enhance the creative possibilities of what your rig can do.
