To reset your WordPress password using cPanel and phpMyAdmin, follow these steps:
1. Log in to your cPanel account.
2. Navigate to the "Databases" section and click on the "phpMyAdmin" icon.
3. In the phpMyAdmin interface, select the database associated with your WordPress installation from the left-hand sidebar.
4. Once you have selected the correct database, you will see a list of tables. Look for the table with a name similar to "wp_users" (the prefix "wp_" may vary depending on your WordPress installation).
5. Click on the "wp_users" table to open it.
6. In the "wp_users" table, find the row corresponding to the user for whom you want to reset the password. Click on the "Edit" button (pencil icon) for that row.
7. In the "user_pass" field, select "MD5" from the drop-down menu in the Function column.
8. In the "Value" field for "user_pass," enter your new password. Make sure to select "MD5" in the Function column before entering your new password.
9. After entering your new password and selecting "MD5," click on the "Go" button at the bottom of the page to save your changes.
10. Your WordPress password has now been updated in the database.
You can now log in to your WordPress admin dashboard using the new password you set in phpMyAdmin.
Please note that making changes directly in the database should be done carefully, as incorrect modifications can cause issues with your WordPress site. Always ensure that you have a backup of your database before making any changes.
